This month, we are proud to recognize James Lamons, a Cybersecurity Engineer on our team and a U.S. Army veteran whose career reflects resilience, dedication, and a commitment to continuous learning.In his role, James is instrumental in maintaining the health and security of our endpoint security systems. He supports the operation and sustainment of critical security applications and servers, fine-tunes policies to stay ahead of emerging threats, and contributes to the engineering and integration of new security solutions. His work plays a vital role in safeguarding our environment every day.
James’s path into cybersecurity is a powerful example of perseverance. After serving in the Army as a Communications Security (COMSEC) Technician, he rebuilt his career in the cyber field from the ground up. Along the way, he earned an impressive portfolio of certifications, including the highly respected CISSP and CCSP.
“I consider my mental fortitude and resilience to be my greatest strengths,” James shares. “When I take on a task, my absolute focus is on delivering a successful, mission-ready outcome.”Outside of work, James enjoys spending quality time with his children, taking walks to recharge, and playing video games. He is also currently taking on a new challenge—learning to play golf.
When asked what he values most about his work, James points to the team around him: “The culture is fantastic. I work with a high-caliber team, and my coworkers consistently inspire me to keep growing.”
