ARLINGTON, Va., September 12, 2026. S2i2, Inc., an SBA-certified 8(a) provider of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud modernization services to the Department of War and federal civilian agencies, was proud to sponsor the 2026 PENREN Reunion, held September 9 through 11 in Washington, D.C., and Arlington, Virginia. The three-day gathering brought together alumni of the Pentagon Renovation Program (PENREN) to reconnect with former colleagues and to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attack on the Pentagon.
The reunion opened with a welcome happy hour at The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City on September 9, continued with a golf scramble at Five Iron Golf in Penn Quarter on September 10, and closed on the evening of September 11 with a dinner and reception at The Ritz-Carlton featuring guest speakers and live entertainment. Proceeds from the event benefit Warrior Transition, a 501(c)(3) organization that hosted the reunion.
For S2i2, the sponsorship is personal. Three of the company’s leaders, President and CEO Edward Shin, Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Operations James Scobey, and Jeff Gaston, served on the PENREN team. The Pentagon Renovation Program was one of the most comprehensive facility modernization efforts in federal history, and its people were at the center of the response on September 11 and the Phoenix Project rebuild that followed, which returned the damaged section of the building to service ahead of the one-year anniversary.
